Jolby Lynn Springer, 53, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on July 18, 2022.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 22, 2022, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Dr. G. A. Roach officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Naturally, Jolby left this side of heaven doing what he loved, more stubborn and loved than ever.

Jolby was never a big money spender, but he was a huge spender of time. He invested his time helping neighbors and working overtime both for his brothers at work and his family at home. If you had a question—big or small—he stopped what he was doing to sit and spend time hearing you out. He’s the man that not only gave you the shirt off his back, but he would come over, bring a beer, and stay until the problem was fixed.

But most importantly, Jolby unconditionally spent time loving on and investing into his family. Angie, his wife, will always remain the true, unshakable, love of his life—a relationship that will continue run off classic rock music, “She was right, damn it,” and baseball caps from family vacations. Austin, Jolby’s eldest bonus son, was raised by Jolby like his own—to be a protector, to be strong, to be humble. Dustyn, Jolby’s son, remains the spitting image of Jolby, inside and out. So much so that Dustyn has a fair chance of being mistaken for Jolby’s twin brother. Makaela, Jolby’s eldest daughter, is the ray of sunshine he raised her to be. She is bold and fiercely passionate about life (and stubborn, of course, just like him). Rylei, the baby of the family, will always be the twinkle in Jolby’s eye. Jolby will always live through her smile, goofy jokes, and iconic eye rolls. Jaycee, Jolby’s first bonus daughter, will continue the family tradition of laughing at the most inappropriate times in life. Emily, Jolby’s newest bonus daughter, is engaged to Dustyn, and didn’t need to know him longer than a day to know just how special he was.

Though we are jealous, we know Jolby now has the unexpected privilege of raising his second daughter Kirsten Grace in heaven.

Jolby was preceded in death by daughter, Kirsten Grace Springer; and parents, Charles and Daleine Springer.

Jolby is survived by his immediate family: spouse, Angie Springer; and his children, Austin Scroggs, Dustyn Springer and his fiancée Emily Prestwood, Makaela Springer, Jaycee Anderson, and Rylei Springer. He is also survived by his siblings and their families, Kristi and her husband Chris Cabbiness, Cory Springer, Charleine and her husband Derek Neill, and his twin brother Colby and his wife Susan Springer, along with multiple nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles—and he loved all of them.

In lieu of flowers, the Springers ask that donations be made to his youngest daughter’s education fund. Donations can be made at the First National Bank of Hereford, TX to the Rylei Springer Education Fund.
