Jolene Marie Ortega

Jolene Marie Ortega, 43, of Amarillo, TX died Monday, February 19, 2024.

Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Jolene was born February 4, 1981, in Enterprise, AL to Susan Grace Turtle.  She was raised by her grandparents in Guymon OK where she spent her childhood.  She later moved to Gruver Texas with Fred and Georgia Davidson to raise her first child Aleksa and then moved to Spearman and started her career in nursing where she met her husband and son Christopher. Jolene and Jr were united in marriage on September 15, 2001. Life took them on a journey to Amarillo TX and have lived here since

. Jolene continued her education and graduated from West Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. She was a member of the Junior League of Amarillo and volunteered at the Hope and Healing Place.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Pat and James Roots; mother-in-law, Lorenza Ortega; sister-in-law, Sylvia Ortega; and brother-in-law, Louis Ortega.

Survivors include her husband, Adan Ortega, Jr. “Junior” of Amarillo, TX; and children, Aleksa of Denver CO and Christopher of Fort Smith, AR; and a host of family and friends.
