Kathleen Marie Witcher, 77, of Amarillo, TX, passed away on January 19, 2024.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Trinity Fellowship Student Ministry Center, 5000 Hollywood Rd. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Kathleen was born April 20, 1946, in Fresno, CA, to James and Martha Tidd Kearny. She attended the University of North Texas and married James L. Witcher, Sr. (Jim) on July 24, 1967, in Landstuhl, Germany, where Jim served in the United States Army. She worked as a business administrator with her husband, Jim, in their electrical contracting business from 1980 to 1986. From 1993 to 2013, she worked beside him in ministry at the First Christian Church in Tucumcari, NM, where she loved leading the choir, teaching Bible studies, and serving the community, always caring for “the least of these.” Kathie and Jim enjoyed 46 wonderful years together before his passing in February 2013.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Witcher; father, James T. Kearny Jr.; and mother, Beth Tidd.
Kathleen is survived by her sister, Kelly Roberts, and husband Blaine; children, Jimmy Witcher and wife Kim, Kelly Witcher, Kristie Suffield and husband Taylor, and JT Witcher and wife Natalie; grandchildren, Knox Botsford and husband Jabin, Jas Witcher and wife Kayla, Blaze Witcher and wife Mallory, Sam Arroyo, Taylor Arroyo, Piper LaGuardia and husband Nick, Paige Witcher, Phoebe Witcher, and Pierce Witcher; and great-grandchildren, Ames Witcher, JJ Witcher, and Jack Witcher.
