Kay Dyer, 80, of Keller, TX died December 15, 2020.

Private family services were held.

Kay was born March 5, 1940 in Haskell, Texas to Juanita and Jim Patterson.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Jessica Arguijo, Dorinda Bustos and Rhonda McKinley; and grandchildren Rudy Bustos, Ayden Arguijo, Julian Arguijo, Daniella Vazquez, Andrea Vazquez, James Smith, Megan Hearn, and Eric McKinley. She also had many great-grandchildren that she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her son, Brent Cook; her mother, Juanita Bennett; her father, Jim Patterson; and the love of her life and husband, Jim Dyer.

She was a strong believer in The Lord and read her Bible every day.

Kay was a firecracker of a lady and made everyone feel like they were her favorite. She took care of each of her kids and grandkids individually and helped shape and mold them into the people that they are today. She was a strong, independent woman with a tender heart. Those of us who knew her intimately, knew she was as feisty as they come and had great stories. These stories were not for the conservative or straight-laced ears. These were 1970’s backdrop hippie true stories. They were vivid when she told them, you actually felt like you were beside her in the shag carpet sitting Indian style listening to Janice Joplin.

She was as cool as they come. We will miss her more than words. One of a kind!

We will miss you hot legs!

Rest your gypsy soul.
