It is said that when life begins it is like an open book with many blank pages. Each day as we live, our deeds are recorded page by page until we close our eyes and await that great sound of heavenly trumpets.

The final pages of the book were written for Kayline LeGrace Garner on June 30, 2021. Kayline was born on March 6, 1958, in El Centro, CA. She and her twin Sister were adopted by Raymond and Aline Garner.

She was raised in Dalhart, Texas. Attended Sandia View Academy in Corrales, New Mexico and was a lifetime member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Upon graduation she began her career at The Quay County Tax Assessor’s Office in Tucumcari, New Mexico. Working was her passion. No one or anything trump’s work except the all mighty GOD. I can hear her say “I might not have a degree, but my determination and dedication set’s me above the rest and at the very least an even playing field.”

For some moments in life there are no words. . . The song has ended but the dance goes on. . . We will always cherish the memories that time does not erase. The Sun has set on an amazing life well lived. Kayline you will truly be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by mother, Aline Nolan and husband Gilford Nolan; father, Raymond Garner; and grandparents, Roy and Grace Wharton.

Left to cherish her memory is twin sister, Fayrine Benavidez of Amarillo, Texas; brother, Kyle Garner of Weiser, Idaho; niece, Shelly Benavidez-Gipson and husband Dantonia and their family: sons, Isaiah and D’Metri, daughters, Alazae and Alyssa, fur baby, Jewels, and Charlie the bird all of San Antonio, Texas; niece: Robin Anderson and her family: twin daughters, Molli and Lola, and daughter, Payton; niece, Jessica Garner and her fur babies, Bella and Hans; nephew, Brandon Garner and his son, Charlie; and many extended family members and friends.

  2. Kay is one of my oldest friends and I am very sorry to hear of her passing. I have known Kay, Fay and their brother Kyle since I was 10. I remember how Kay was aways quick to state her opinion. Once at junior camp I was acting up and Kay was quick to tell me that she knew my mom and how to get a hold of her if I did not stop what I was doing. She fun to be around and quick witted I want to give my deep condolences to Fay and Kyle and to Kay’s family for the loss of Kay. I will truly miss her.

  3. Praying for you and your family to feel God’s comfort. I hope this message is as comforting as your and Kay’s message was for me on Tom’s death. I reread it ever so often and cherish it. Loved it when you came to our home and the friendship you both shared every time we saw each other.

  4. My most treasured memory of Kayline goes back to 2001. It was on a Sabbath afternoon that I met her as she was walking toward BSA and I was walking out. She commented that she had been wanting to do something for me as my husband was in the hospital. I told her there was as I had to find a nursing home for him but wanted someone to go on the search with me. She said, “Let’s go.” We did and I will always treasure that kindness. Thank you, Kaylene.

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

  10. Dear Sister,
My heart is breaking not knowing how to live ME without WE. You are my mirror image, my partner in crime, my voice to finish my sentences. I always said two heads are better than one. You always picked up my messes and I was the cook. Together WE made the perfect team. Sis, whose going to pick up the pieces now? Shelly is taking charge so don’t you worry. I know your kindness and generosity will remain in my heart forever. GOD is taking care of me. Sis, Rest in Peace and when I see you again YOU + ME = WE. I love and miss you so much 💕
