Kema was born in Black, TX on August 19, 1970, to Marcelina Florencia and Julian A. Tijerina Jr. Kema graduated from Hereford High School, a true Whiteface. She skillfully played both clarinet and piano. She loved life, and oh boy she loved her some Mickey Mouse. She was infatuated with bling, “lets dazzle everything” she would say, the more bling the better. Kema enjoyed spending time with her family the most, always making each moment count. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for her family to make them happy. Her crafting was the finest, and going on road trips always brought her so much life and joy. As a Mary Kay consultant to the core, pink was everywhere, she would always say “pink dreams”. She was a talented Nail Tech, at the one and only K.E.M.A. Nail Salon. Her love for Christ shined brightly and warmed the hearts of all around her. She was never afraid to ask for prayers and constantly prayed for others. She always sought the Lord’s Will, wanting clarity to follow wherever He was calling her. Her devotion to her faith was a testament to her children and family as a whole. She always talked about her “Come to Jesus moments.” Everyone could feel the Holy Spirit when she was around, and with unconditional love she always made sure you knew she loved you. Kema had a heart of Gold.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marcelina Tijerina; grandparents, Ramon and Maria Estrada, and Maria A. Tijerina; father-in-law, Ron Mitchener; and two infant children.
