Kenneth Cook, 81, of Columbia, MO, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 11, 2021, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, MO.  He was born February 25, 1940, in Shawnee, OK, the son of Jack and Rubye Cook.

He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1958. Kenneth was married to Patricia Crawford in 1959 and later divorced. He was an Assembler at Pantex, Mason Hanger- Silas Mason Company for 41 yrs. Kenneth enjoyed spending time with his daughters and their families. Kenneth spent his younger years on bowling leagues. He really enjoyed fishing, having fish fries, watching golf, little league baseball and attending Katy High School football games. He loved all dogs but especially loved his grand dogs, Scooter and BJ.

Kenneth is survived by two daughters, Shana Corona (Jesse) of Centertown, MO and Kenda Cook-Frazier (Michael) of Columbia, MO; two granddaughters, Addison and Annie Corona, both of Centertown; his brother, Jerry Cook (Judy) of Amarillo, TX; and two nieces, Alana Mitchell of Amarillo, TX, and, Sherri Lyn Cook-Rousey of Austin, TX.

Along with his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his step-mother Aline Minner; a brother, Tommy Cook; and a nephew, Jack Cook.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service, in California, MO, with Rev. Don Fankhauser officiating.  On Thursday, September 23, 2021, a visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 AM at Hillside Christian Church, Amarillo, TX, with Funeral Services following at 11:00 AM with Greg Corona officiating. Interment will be private at Llano Cemetery, Amarillo, TX. Texas arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Amarillo, TX.
Memorials are suggested to SPCA or the Wounded Warrior Project.

  1. I am s so sorry for the loss of Ken. He was a special man. I know that he had special relationships with his daughters. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family. Love and prayers to all.
