Kom Thipsipasom, 85, of Amarillo, TX died Wednesday, May 11, 2022, in Amarillo.

Kom was born in Laos on September 1, 1936, was a police officer and came to the United States in 1976. He was an active member of the First Baptist Lao Ministry. He loved socializing with his family and friends, enjoyed walks in the park, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys and collegiate football fan. No matter how quiet his demeanor, he always left a big impression.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandy Chantharaj. Survivors include his wife, Noumek Phangnivong Thipsipasom; two daughters, Sing Keomoungkhoune, and Oumaly Bounsing and husband Teang, of Amarillo, TX; two sons, Thip Thipsipasom and wife Mori of Dallas, TX, and Bee Thipsipasom and wife Manosay of Murfreesboro, TN; and 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A private family interment at Llano Cemetery for Kom is scheduled on Friday, May 13, 2022, followed by a memorial service at First Baptist Church in Amarillo on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 1:00 P. M.

Viewing will be available on Thursday, May 12, 2022, from 4:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M., and Friday, May 13, 2022, from 8:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M., at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
