Larry Bruce Fletcher, Sr.
Larry Bruce Fletcher, Sr., 75, died March 14, 2022, at the Golden Plains Hospital with his family by his side, lovingly cared for by the staff of the hospital.
Larry was born December 28, 1946, in Wichita Falls, Tx to Robert and Hallie Mae Fletcher. Larry loved Amarillo; especially getting to drive his dune buggy down the riverbed. Larry appreciated fishing trips and grilling out, even in the snow.
Larry graduated from Amarillo High School in 1965. He served in the Vietnam War as an Army MP. He enjoyed old westerns, good company, and a tall tale.
He is survived by his wife, Carla; four children Col. Larry Bruce Fletcher (Christy Fletcher), Jr, Laura Jones (Cliff Jones), John Paul Fletcher (Pauly Fletcher), and Robbye Fletcher; as well as multiple grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Larry will be remembered for his quiet voice and infectious laughter.
The family is holding a graveside service at Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 2PM.
