Leo A. Cordova, 61, of Amarillo, TX died Wednesday, May 4, 2022.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 9, 2022, at Trinity Fellowship Church – Student Ministry Center, 5000 Hollywood Rd., with Kyle Wilkinson officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Leo was born April 26, 1961, in Tucumcari, NM to Julian and Adelia Cordova.  He married Terri Hines on November 28, 1996, in Amarillo, TX.  Leo attended Trinity Fellowship Church.

Leo worked at Edes Meat Market as an assistant manager. He had a long enjoying career in cutting meat for over  44 years. He loved working on his yard and making sure he had the best yard on the block. He enjoyed playing golf, with family and friends. Loved his Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Lakers. When you needed a friendly face or a smile you could count on Leo. His smile lit up the room. If you needed anything you could always give him a call including pull a prank or two. Most of all Leo loved friends, and family. You could always count on hearing a story or two about his light, his grandson Liam.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ida Cordova and Rebecca Cordova; and a brother, Bobby Cordova.

Survivors include his wife, Terri Cordova, of Amarillo, TX; son, Lucas Cordova and wife Anita, of Amarillo, TX; daughters, Jennifer Cordova, of Guymon, OK;  Teresa Montoya and husband Michael;  and Olivia Johnson and husband Dante, all of Amarillo, TX; a sister, Arlin Cordova of Logan, NM; three brothers, Tommy Cordova, of Albuquerque, NM; Wilford Cordova, of Amarillo, TX; and Julian Cordova and wife Stela, of Logan, NM; grandchildren, Liam Cordova, Angel Montoya, and Michael Montoya; and a great-grandson, Estaban Gabriel Arenas.

  2. My condolences to Terri, his son and daughters, grandchildren and my cousins, Julian, Tommy, Antonio and Arleen. We are a close family and the absence of Leo will be greatly felt by everyone. Leo always had a wonderful smile and ready to have a good laugh. Los Cordova’s will always cherish the great times we had with Leo. Rest In Peace Primo.
