Leslie Wayne Clements

Leslie Wayne Clements, 66, of Dumas, TX was promoted to heaven on Monday, December 9, 2019.

Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Bible Baptist Church with Gerald Chadwick and Johnny Widener officiating.  Burial will be at the Dumas Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox.

Leslie was born on March 9, 1953 in Pampa, Texas to Red and Wavel Clements.  He graduated from Dumas High School in 1971.  He retired from BP after working in plant operation for over 35 years.  He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Amarillo

He married Valerie Noland on January 28, 1977 in Dumas.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Rusty Clements.

He is survived by his wife, Valerie Clements of Dumas; his mother, Wavel Clements of Dumas; two sisters, Laura Lee Patlan and husband Juan and Cindy Black and husband Chuck, all of Amarillo; a sister-in-law, Cathi Clements of Grandfalls, Texas; three nephews, David Clements, Jason Black, and Brandon Black; and two nieces, Shawna Noland and Shelby Clements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and suggest memorials be sent to Moore County Hospice, 224 E. 2nd, Dumas, Texas 79029.

  1. God Bless your family for their loss (used to work with Les in Canadian in Gas Department) He & I got along great & were good friends.l

  2. We left Dumas in 2006 but I think regularly of all the guys at the plant. Les always came to mind as THE hardest worker out there. He loved talking cars and hunting. There is no doubt where Les is today, he was a Christian man and loved the lord.
