Lisa Marie Smith, 60, of Amarillo, TX passed away on May 28, 2022.

 
The family will have a private ceremony at a later date in Paris, Texas. The family will be at 3416 S. Lamar in Amarillo, TX, 79109.
 
Lisa was born in Paris, TX on June 4, 1961, to Bobby Charles Neil Hall and Mary Lee Telford. Lisa started her life early with the birth of her only son at 17 years of age and soon followed with three daughters. She sacrificed a lot at a young age while working three jobs to make ends meet for her children. Lisa worked at Coon Memorial Nursing Home for many years. She also drove a bus for Dalhart ISD under Gary Womble. She cleaned schools during the summers. Lisa worked for Hass Funeral Home for 18 years. In the early 2000’s Lisa and Brent moved to Amarillo, TX, where she finished living her life as a homemaker.
 
Lisa married the love of her life, George “Brent’ Smith, in Clayton, NM on December 27, 1989. They were married for 32 years.
 
Lisa was faithful in Pentecostalism. She loved to read and study her bible with her family. She also loved to cook big meals with her husband with vegetables used from their garden. Lisa had a huge, generous heart and always helped anyone and everyone with a smile on her face. Lisa often joked that one day she would come home and find out that she won the Publishers Clearing house money. Lisa had a deep love for her dogs and grand-dogs.
 
Lisa loved and cherished her children and grandchildren deeply. She kept a special place in her heart for all of her siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
 
Lisa was preceded in death by her husband, George “Brent” Smith, 2022; and her mother, Mary Lee Telford, 2018.
 
Survivors include her father, Bobby Hall, of Paris, TX; son, Jeremy and wife Denise of Amarillo, TX; daughters, Kaesha and husband Shane of Dalhart, TX, Wendy of Amarillo, TX; and Kelli of Amarillo, TX; stepson, Jason and wife Chelle of Dalhart, TX; grandsons, Jacob, Adrian, Brenton, and Bradyn; granddaughters, Kailee, Madison, McKenzie, Chaleighia, Khloe, and Khalisa; great-grandson, Nico; sister, Sherri and husband James of Rusk, TX; and brothers, Charlie and wife Angel of Dalhart, TX, and Danny and wife Tami of Canyon, TX.

  1. I never got to actually meet you but I heard so much about you as you did me. You would have to be an magnificent woman cuz your daughter is my absolute BFF “Big Walk Dog” fly with the angels and be happy forever with Brent. You are very loved and forever missed. Be at peace. You deserve it.

  4. Lisa had a Heart as big as Texas, she played a huge part in my life, After Brent and Lisa moved from Dalhart to Amarillo it took 2 people to fill her shoes at the funeral home. It never was the same , ever….. she was one of a kind. Praying for all of You, She loved you ALL BIG!

    1. Lisa was such an awesome lady. She and I worked together for several years. She had a huge heart and truly loved her family. Jeremy, my prayers are with you and your family.
