Lloyd’s greatest passion was motor sports. He raced motorcycles before modifying a Corvette for tractor pulling. In his retired years, Lloyd restored and rebuilt classic cars, spending many happy hours in his shop with his car friends.  He was a good and faithful Christian man; he and Carole joined Faith Southwest Methodist Church when they moved to Amarillo.

Lloyd is predeceased by his parents, Tom and Lena Triplett and a beloved brother, Joe. Survivors include his wife, Carole, daughter Lori Maxfield and husband Brett of Amarillo, son Rodney Triplett and wife Sabine of Houston, sister Sharon Dalrymple and husband Steve of Amarillo; six grandchildren: Cale Maxfield and wife Jessika, Jill Irwin and husband Korbin, Tess Stephens and husband Sage, Hugo Triplett, Emmi Triplett and Nils Triplett. Finally, he leaves his only great-grandchild, Caroline Kay Irwin.
