Marcella Deniece Johnson Flowers, 36 years of age, of Dallas, TX was called home unexpectedly on March 10th, 2022.

Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 19, 2022, at The Loft Church with Matt Johnson officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Marcella was born on October 30th, 1985, in Post, TX and then moved to Amarillo, TX where she spent the majority of her life. Marcella enjoyed playing sports. She played basketball, baseball, and was a part of the marching band in high school. Marcella attended Prairie View University and then came back home to Amarillo and started a family. She has three sons, Kemone Don Anthony Flowers (10) and twin boys (7) Kenyon Cutrere Flowers and Micah Deshawn Flowers. She was a very affectionate mother that would do anything for anyone. Marcella had a very luminous smile that was a gift from God.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Laurie Eileen Johnson.

Survivors include her 3 children, Kemone Don Anthony Flowers, Kenyon Cutrere Flowers, and Micah Deshawn Flowers; her children’s father, Kemone Cutrere Flowers; parents, Larry and Eileen Johnson of Amarillo, TX; sister, Kendra Gonzales and brother-in-law Chris Gonzales; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was a charismatic and loving child of God who will be dearly remembered until we meet again.

Honorary Pallbearers: Kenmore Flowers, Kenyon Flowers, Micah FLowers, Omar Gonzales, Lbow Rivers, and Stanley Neims Jr.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M., Friday, March 18, 2022, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.

  1. Omg I meet her about 6 years ago and didn’t know we were cousins….it was a pressure getting to meet her, love miss u cuzn..im so shocked.

  5. Marcella and her sister Laurie were members of our very first youth group as youth ministers. They both had such beautiful spirits, Marcella shown through with that amazing infectious smile. Rich nicknamed her Marsupalami. Her love for others made teaching and leading that group such a pleasure and honor. We had not had much contact with her recently, but watched from afar as she raised her handsome young men.
    Eileen, Larry,Kemone and boys – please know our love is with all and our prayers continue to cover your family.
