Marcia (Marcy) Ann Merrill, 73, of Amarillo, TX passed away on June 25, 2022.

Memorial services will be at 3:00 P.M., Thursday, June 30, 2022, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Dr. G. A. Roach officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Marcia (Marcy) Ann Merrill was born in Pensacola, Florida on the 2nd of February 1949. After some early years in Hobart, Oklahoma the family would eventually settle in Dumas, Texas where she spent her youth in the land of the Ding Dong Daddy.

After graduation from Dumas High School, Marcy moved to Amarillo where she enjoyed more than 30 years working for State Farm Insurance in various positions. Marcy’s abundant wit blessed her with an overwhelming number of friends. She had the ability to foster those relationships over her lifetime.  As blessed as she was with friends, she was equally blessed with family. As a mother of three boys that kept her on her toes and a husband that was her rock for so many years, Marcy lived a life full of those she loved. She had the joy of her brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Helen Tufford, moving to the Amarillo area. Marcy loved all her family even though many lived too far away to see frequently.

Marcy was preceded in death by her mother, Norma Tufford; father, Harold Tufford;  sister, Carla Bell; sister, Judy Tufford; grandmother, Mildred Merrill; grandfather, Lee Merrill; and father-in-law, Lester Merrill.

She is survived by her sons, Allan Merrill, Paul Merrill, and Kyle Duncan; her beloved husband, Steve Merrill; and mother-in-law, Anita Merrill.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in the name of Marcy made to Gracie’s Project located in Hope Veterinary Clinic at 10850 I-40 Frontage Rd, Amarillo, TX 79124.
