Maria Trinidad (Basaldua) Granado was born on April 25, 1938 to Patricia and Manuela Basaldua in Mission, TX. and passed away in her home December 27, 2022 in Yukon, OK. at the age of 84.
Maria married Florentino Granado on Febuary 13, 1954 and they were blessed with 4 children and 3 step-children. They made their residence in Dumas, TX. until she moved to Yukon, OK. in 2013 to be close to her children.
She is survived by her 5 children; Emma Garcia of Spearman, TX., Lucy Gutierrez of Cactus, TX., Amelia (Don) Sills of Bowie, TX., Paul (Donita) Granado of Yukon, OK., David Granado of Yukon, OK. and her two step-children; Joe (Hope) Granado of Rotan, TX., and Rosa Vribe of FL., 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Florentino and brothers and sisters.
She worked many years in the food industry as a cook at several restaurants and later became a housekeeper at The Dumas Memorial Nursing Home before spending her final years as a homemaker. She loved to embroider, sew and most recently she began coloring. Her passion for coloring was evident with all the pictures she had hung on the walls in her home.
Viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 2, 2023 at Boxwell Brothers in Dumas, TX. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday January 3, 2023 at Primera Iglesia Baptist Church in Dumas, TX. Interment will follow at the Dumas Cemetery, Dumas, TX.
