I was fortunate enough to know both Martha and her husband, Hub. Hub and I both worked for Combustion Engineering. My husband, Lou, and I met Martha several times when she came to CT with Hub. She always had such a bright outlook on life, laughed a lot and enjoyed being with people. Martha and I wrote e-mails almost weekly; we agreed on many social/political issues. (Of course, Martha made fun of my New England accent and I, in return, had a field day with her Southern accent). She was a delightful person and will be missed.
Will miss your beautiful smile and quick wit.
My dear friend, Miss Martha, you will always be remembered for your southern hospitality and generous spirit, quick wit, and wonderful southern accent. Will miss your wisdom and being together with you. Rest in peace my friend. Love
