Mary Ellen Romero, 77, of Dumas, TX died on Friday, October 7, 2022.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, October 14, 2022, at Boxwell Brothers Memorial Chapel, 500 N. Maddox. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox
Mary was born on April 12, 1945, in Mora, New Mexico to Daniel and Berlinda Bustos. She grew up in Mora and graduated from Mora High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Camp Luna University in Las Vegas, New Mexico. She moved to Dumas with her husband in 1979. She was a homemaker and Jehovah Witness.
She married Louis Romero on August 15, 1974.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Lorena Bustos; and a daughter-in-law, Robbin Romero.
She is survived by her husband, Louis Romero of Dumas; a daughter, Linda Diaz of Dumas; two sons, Chris Romero of Borger and Mark Bustos of Midland; five brothers, Carlos Bustos, Fred Bustos, Danny Bustos, Tony Bustos, and Johnny Bustos; one sister, Bertha Archuleta; four grandchildren, Pam, Adrian, Kylie, Cameron; and four great-grandchildren, Aryah, Grayson, Elijah, and Noah.
