Maxie O’Neil Fields, 85, of Amarillo, TX died Friday, December 16, 2022.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Maxie was born August 12, 1937, in Glasgow, KY to Cordis and Hester Fields.
He married Mary Smith in Amarillo, TX on March 16, 1962.
Maxie served his country in the US Air Force and was a truck driver for International Paper.
Survivors include his wife of more than 60 years, Mary Fields, of the home; two sons, Ricky Fields (Nina), and Robert Fields, all of Amarillo, TX; a daughter, Kathlene Ortiz, of Amarillo, TX; a brother, Pete Fields, of Maryville, LA; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
