4:55pm on September 15th, 2021.  His loving wife and daughter were with him and he left this world to the song “It is Well”.

Mike was born to Billy Wendall Boyles and Valera Mayberry Boyles on January 15th, 1946 in Clarendon, Texas.  He graduated from Palo Duro High School class of 1964 in Amarillo Texas and received a theological degree from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri.

He  married DeEva Grayson on September 23th, 1964

Mike enlisted in the Navy and was in Seabees from 1966 -1970 and served in Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife DeEva, son Billy Boyles and wife Ginger, a daughter Michelle Osborne, and husband, Carter, and by grandchildren,  Michael Boyles and wife Victoria and their children Kaylee, Katelynn, Melody and Nathan; David Boyles, Garrett Osborne, Jordan Osborne and Kinzie Osborne.  He also has several recently acquired grandchildren, Ben and Lydia Handon and their children Justus, Eden and Selah; Asher and Beth McMullin and their children Theo, Makairan, Aletheia and Sophie; Josiah McMullin and Josh and Rachel Rudder.

He was preceded in death by his son, Matt Boyles.

Mike came to know Christ as his Savior September 22, 1968.  He was a passionate follower of Christ,  served in the church in many capacities including Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, Youth Pastor,  Pastor,  Served on Mission trips and gave much of his life to sharing the Gospel and Love of Christ to as many people as he could.

Mike founded Allied Machine and Welding in 1976 and retired in 2016.  He also used the business to carry out the Great Commission.

Mike had many hobbies and loved to create. He was a fantastic cook, expert metal and wood worker and enjoyed making unique items. He always had a project going and could accomplish huge building and woodworking projects like they were small ones.

While Mike will be greatly missed the family is comforted in knowing we will see him again one day and that he is being comforted in the arms of The Savior.

The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 PM, Sunday, September 19th, 2021 at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be held Monday September 20th, 2021 at Oasis Southwest Baptist Church at 11 AM.  Interment to follow immediately at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

  1. Mike was a good friend and as a former Sunday School teacher, He and Dev had an enormous impact on my life. Mike leaves quite a legacy but none as great as his Children, one of which, is one of my most Cherished Friends. My prayers are with You all.

  4. We both loved and respected Mike for the great Christain man that he was. His gentle manners drew people to him. We will miss him.

  7. I know Mike was a wonderful man. His daughter, Michelle Osborne is married to my nephew, Carter. I love them so much and my heart aches for their sadness at this time though I know they are happy he is safe in the arms of Jesus.
