Michael Steuer, 47, of Amarillo, TX suddenly passed away on January 23, 2023.

Services will be at 4:00 P.M., Thursday, February 9, 2023, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Dr. G. A. Roach officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Michael was born in Queens, New York on January 28, 1975, to Lorretta Jacobs Weil and William Steuer. He graduated from Nassau Community College; he married the love of his life Donna Lynn Steuer (Czarnomski) on October 27th, 2002. He worked as a Letter Carrier for USPS for a little over 25 years in Baldwin, NY, and Amarillo, TX. He loved his job very much and his customers loved him right back. Michael took great pride in serving his community. He loved his family very much and enjoyed taking family road trips. He was an avid football and hockey fan, particularly of the New York Rangers. Michael was an avid gamer. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and his dogs. He will be greatly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorretta Jacobs Weil.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Steuer; Father, William Steuer of Stuart, Florida; Daughter, Megan Steuer (19) of Amarillo, TX; Sons, Will Steuer (17) of Amarillo, TX, and Ethan Steuer (15) of Amarillo, TX; Brother, Brian Steuer, of Garden City Park, NY; Sister, Tricia Daly of Garden City Park, NY; mother-in-law, Marilyn Roedel, and father-in-law, Robert Roedel, both of Amarillo, TX.

  1. Michael was such a kind and caring soul. He was the best letter carrier and cared about his customers. He was truly dedicated to his job and I don’t remember ever seeing him without a smile. Our prayers for his family. We will dearly miss him.

  2. Mike was a great friend. I always enjoyed our talks and our nights having coffee together. He will be greatly missed. May God be with his family during this difficult time.

  3. Michael was the kindest, most thoughtful person. He was our mail carrier here at my office for the last few years. He was more than just a mail carrier though, he was a joy, a light in the daily humdrum. Our little chats were some of my favorite moments of the day. So thankful for the years I got to hear his cheery hello. Our hearts go out to his family and friends.

  5. Our Son In Law Michael was a wonderful kind and Loving Man. He always put his family first and was always willing to give a helping hand to who ever needed it. Bob and I loved you Dearly and you will be forever missed and in our Hearts!

  6. Michael was not just a postal carrier to us but a friend to all of us at Sweet Repeats Children’s Boutique. He brightened our day and we are grateful our paths crossed with such a kind man. Prayers for peace and comfort for the family and all those blessed by knowing Michael.
