Mika Lynn Fetsch, 53, of Spanish Fort, AL passed away on February 7, 2021.

Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at Coulter Road Baptist Church. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Mika was born in Hobbs, NM on October 11, 1967, to Maye Lou and Elery Guy Smith.

Mika was married to Larry D. Fetsch on May 27, 2013.

She was a long-time employee of National Home Healthcare and Promed Pharmacy.  Mika graduated from Amarillo High School in 1985 and attended Amarillo College. Mika loved dogs, hummingbirds, and carnations.  Her kindness, generosity, caring nature and always smiling were natural virtues of Mika.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Misti Gayle Smith (2001), and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Survivors include her husband, Larry D. Fetsch; mother, Maye Lou Yoakum Smith; father, Elery Guy Smith; sister, Monica Dawnis Smith-Bryars and husband Martin N.; brother, Chadwick Russell Yoakum; Goddaughters, Samantha Lyn Dixon and Sydney Leigh Watkins; bonus daughter, Cassie Booe and husband David Kyle; bonus son, Bryan Fetsch; grandson, Marshall; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She is also survived by her beloved dogs, Lilly and Brittany.

  1. Maye, Guy, Misti and Larry, I just heard of Mika’s passing. The earth lost an angel, heaven received one of their own. She was my boss and one of my closest friends. I think of her often and miss her terrible. She was a wonderful, sweet, caring, generous person but most of all she was funny. She could make me laugh harder then anyone in this world. Her sense of humor and quick wit will carry me through till I see you again sweet friend!! Love, Brenda. Give Joe a hug from me, I know he was happy to see you!😘

  4. Mika was a remarkable person! She was, hands down, one of the most generous people I knew. She definitely taught me a couple of pranks and taught me it was okay to always have fun! So many fun memories come to mind! A true light in this world, you could always tell she loved the Lord!

    I was so sad to hear of Mika’s passing. She was such a sweet girl and always so pleasant! What memories came flooding through when I heard.
    I am regretful I couldn’t come to the service to visit and catch up. Drena will catch me up to speed on you guys.

  11. Mika had a heart of gold. She was such a bright and shining star in each of our lives. She held a kindness towards everyone that she came in contact with. She was and is a very dear friend. We worked together for over 20 years. She is quite the prankster, she loved seeing how gullible I would be . I can see her giggling right now! We had her for a few wonderful seasons and we will see her again in heaven with her arms open wide. May God comfort each of you and remember the very blessing of our time with her!

  21. She was such a dear friend. I have so many happy memories of her. We bonded immediately over our love of dogs. She was one of the most generous people I’ve ever known. Also she had a great sense of humor! I’m so thankful I was blessed to know Mika. So sorry to Larry and all of her family and her goddaughters. She loved all of her family so much. She was already an angel on this earth, always giving and thinking of everyone else. Now she has her wings.
