Nancy Ann Smith

Nancy Ann Smith, 66, of Amarillo, TX passed away on December 24, 2021.
 

A viewing for family and friends will be held from noon to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Pathpoint Fellowship Church. Please wear bright colorful clothes in honor of Nancy.

Nancy was born in Amarillo, TX on September 15, 1955, to Wilburn B. Barnes and Janet Elaine Siefkes. She worked at Pantex for 33 years. Nancy loved to quilt. Her grandchildren were her world. She loved to play in the dirt.
 
She is preceded in death by her mother and father and one brother, Danny Barnes.
 
Survivors include her husband, Lionel Smith; daughter, Cristy Martinez and husband Ramon Martinez; son, Heath Woods and wife Sabrina; grandsons, Keegan, and Kage; granddaughter, Cadence; stepson, Mark Smith and wife Rhada and their daughter Destiny; sisters, Linda Gattis and husband Brad, and Carolyn Cotter and husband Lee; and brother, Willy Barnes.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the Amarillo Botanical gardens.

  1. Very talented sweet lady. She was always willing to show you how to sew. Spend many hours just sewin and talking.

  2. Enjoyed working with Nancy for several years and not knowing when I seen her a couple of months ago would be my last. Deepest Sympathy to Lionel and family.

  3. My heart aches for all of you Nancy was a wonderful person. All of her beautiful quilts that she made for everyone will be even more special because every time they look at them they will be reminded of how much she is going to be missed.

  6. She was such a sweet and talented person. I remember her as a child and later as a woman. As cousin’s we did not visit much because of distance. The times we did it was a delite.

  7. My heart is breaking. Nancy is a dear quilting friend. I will miss her terribly. Holding the family in loving light.
