Nancy Faye (Hendricks) McNeill, 73, of Amarillo, TX passed away on April 15, 2022.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at San Jacinto Assembly of God. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Nancy was born on September 21, 1948, in Nowata, OK to Betty Lou Lewis and William Eugen Hendricks. She married Dennis Wayne McNeill on May 6, 1967, in McLean, TX. Together they had two children, James McNeill and Whitney Potts.

Nancy worked at Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch for 49 years.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Herschel Boyd Potts (October 25, 1992 to December 29, 2017).

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Wayne McNeill, of the home; son, James McNeill, of Amarillo, TX; daughter, Whitney Potts and husband Jody, of Hutto, TX; four grandkids, Marcus Lowry and wife Lindsey, of Lubbock, TX, Sarah Halterman and husband Corey, of Hutto, TX, Kack McNeill, of Amarillo, TX, and Elisabeth McNeill of Amarillo, TX; and 11 great-grandkids.

  1. We’ve been friends with Dennis, Nancy, & family since we first came to Boys Ranch on 6/28/’76. They were associated with our dorm at Tunnell & always pitched in, made our camp outs & other activities lots of fun. Nancy was a fine Christian lady who shared her love for Christ with anyone. She could pull some good funny pranks too. God bless & comfort you & your entire family Dennis at this time.

  7. Nancy and Dennis have been friends for 30 years. Nancy was tough on us as young houseparents. She was always there for anyone in need. She was a true friend and will be missed greatly by everyone who knew her. She leaves a big hole in the lives of her family. Love you Nancy.
