Nicklaus Clayton Williams, 42, of Amarillo, TX died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 28, 2024.
Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, March 8, 2024, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Nick was born August 19, 1981, in Albuquerque, NM to Jerry & Barb (Purchase) Williams. Following graduation from Sandia High School, he attended Vernon Junior College to play 3rd base for the Chapparals, and WTAMU to play 3rd base for the Buffs. He later returned to WTAMU to finish his bachelor’s degree. He married Amber Shelledy on May 27, 2006 and their family was completed on September 11, 2015 with the birth of their son CJ. Nick was the Regional Manager for Quick Quack Carwash in Amarillo and loved to spend his spare time cheering on his Steelers and Cubs or gaming with CJ, his favorite of which was running duos together in Fortnite or building giant bases in Minecraft including their own Wrigley Field.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father and step-brother Tyran.
He is survived by his wife Amber Williams, of Amarillo, TX; his son, CJ Williams of Amarillo, TX; his Mother Barb Williams, of Albuquerque, NM; his sister Leslie Williams of Albuquerque, NM; nephews Gabriel and Asher, of Albuquerque, NM; and many loved aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up at Amarillo Community Federal Credit Union to help Amber and CJ with expenses. It will be under Amber Williams but please mention they live on Raindrop when donating due to there being a second account holder with the same name.
