Ollie was born on December 12, 1940, to Marion Allen Linn and Billie Idabel Mayben in Denver City, Texas. In high school, she met the love of her life, Winston Chandler, and they were married for almost 63 years and had three children: Winston Paul Jr., Wesley, and Tonya.

Ollie was known for her great love of children, especially so when she and her husband raised over 550 boys at Cal Farley’s Boy’s Ranch from 1968-1995.  She was a second mother to many boys throughout those 27 years and is still considered so today.  She continued her love for children as a teacher’s assistant in a special needs classroom at Claude ISD until she retired.  Ollie was an amazing cook and loved to have all her family and friends over to eat her famous fried chicken.  She enjoyed entertaining and having big gatherings.  As a grandma, she was so special she deserved three names, Memaw, Mawmaw and Grandma.  She was a member of Paramount Baptist Church and was very devout in her faith.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Billie Idabel Mayben; father, Marion Linn; sisters, Kay Hood and Marian Caines; brother, Art Linn; son-in-law, Kevin Cox; and daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Chandler.

She is survived by her husband, Winston Chandler; 3 children, Paul Chandler and wife Holly, Wesley Chandler and wife Linda, and Tonya Cox; six grandchildren, Heather Blancet and husband Brice, Colby Chandler and wife Kaysee, Colin Chandler and wife Kelsey, Kacy Chandler, Hunter Cox and wife Kathleen, and Ethan Chandler and wife Suzie; six great-grandchildren, Bentley, Paxton, Rylen, Adalae, Hattie Pearl, and Boone; and various nieces and nephews that she loved very much.
