Patsy “Ann” Leflar Rigdon, age 86, of Amarillo, TX, passed away in the comfort of her daughter’s home in Dalton, Wisconsin on July 4, 2021.
Ann was born on January 16, 1935, in Haskell, Texas. The daughter of James “Eli” and Fannie Maynette (Holmes) Leflar. She was married to Jack K. Rigdon, Sr. on September 26, 1953, in Tucumcari, New Mexico.
As a schoolgirl, Ann attended Margaret Wills Elementary, Sam Houston Junior High, and Amarillo High School. She married and became a mother and full-time homemaker for many years. Later in life, Ann graduated from the New Mexico Academy of Cosmetology to pursue becoming a hairdresser. A true follower of the Lord, Ann attended Trinity Fellowship in Amarillo, Texas for many years. She loved going to garage sales, working in her yard, and gatherings with friends and family.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Ann (Rigdon) Buchs; grandchildren, Amy LeAnn (Allen) Hill, J Garrett Allen, and Amanda (Jones) Allen; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Davis Hill, Sarah LeAnn Hill, Matthew Garrett Hill, Addison Cate Allen, Caylor Reese Allen, and Emery Grace Allen.
She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Russell Rigdon; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda Sue (Rigdon) VanCleave and Reginald VanCleave; sister, Tommy Jo (Leflar) Rigdon; and parents, James “Eli” and Fannie Maynette (Holmes) Leflar
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service officiated by Pastor Greg Corona at Llano Cemetery in Amarillo, Texas on Friday, July 16, 2021, at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or to your local hospice organization.
