Patsy “Pat” Earlene Pettit, 89, of Amarillo, TX passed away on August 23, 2022.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 26, 2022, in the Llano Cemetery Garden Mausoleum with Dr. G. A. Roach officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Pat was born in Amarillo, TX on January 6, 1933, to Geneva and Earl Westerfield. She attended Amarillo High School and graduated in 1951.

Pat married Allan “Bunk” Pettit in Clovis, NM, on December 31, 1951.

Pat was a homemaker and raised their three children, Mark, Denise, and Renee. She was a Christian, homeroom mom, seamstress, and she loved to decorate. Pat was her kids’ biggest fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allan “Bunk” Pettit; son, Mark Pettit; and granddaughter, Cassi Pettit.

Survivors include her daughters, Denise Pettit Husky and husband James, and Renee Cason; grandchildren, Reid Turner, Racheal Watkins, and Heather Bernett; and special nieces, Kathy Trent, and Laura Reynosa.

The family extends their thanks to the staff at Moore Assisted Living and BSA Hospice for their love and compassionate care of our mom.

  1. You were the best, missed everyday! You taught me the best, unconditional love. I will never forget you. I love you!

  2. Pat was such a happy lady and smiled all the time. I met Pat and Bunk in the early 70’s at Dupriest Datsun. Bunk pride and joy was his 71 Datsun 240Z. I was his only mechanic that took care of that 240Z and was he was my Best Friend Forever. Love ❤️ Pat & Bunk and will see you both again one day in heaven ❤️🌹🙏🏻

  3. Patsy brought so much joy to my day at work with her sweet voice and smile and her funny questions I miss her tremendously. My condolences to her children who she adored and her family. God bless.
