Patty Watson, 73, of Amarillo, TX died Monday, September 13, 2021.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Patty was born April 4, 1948, in Syracuse, KS to Johnny Drake and Lula Shepard. She was a homemaker and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Patty enjoyed going to the Canadian River, camping out, going to Red River, Wynoka, and Las Vegas. She also enjoyed gardening and sewing. Her biggest pleasure in life was spending time with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the love of her life Jerry.
Patty married Jerry Watson on April 4, 1966, in Amarillo, TX.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lula Terrel; and sister, Louella Terrel.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Watson, of Amarillo, TX; daughters, DeeAnn Koonce and husband Glenn, of Amarillo, TX, and Debbie Beach and husband Kenneth, of Montgomery, TX; a brother, Ricky Terrel and wife Darlene, of Amarillo, TX; three sisters, Linda Flanagan and husband Ricky, of Amarillo, TX, Cindy McCurry, of Pearl, MI, and Judy Terrel, of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren, Christina Downs and husband Shannon, Christopher Moore and wife Elissa, Holly Beach and husband Josh Gilbreth, and Hailey Beach and fiancé Nathan Barclay; and great-grandchildren, Copen, Blaine, Cash, and Brayden Downs, and Tatum and Garrett Moore.

So sorry to hear of her passing. I grew up next door to Jerry and Patty and girls. Our prayers go out to all family. We will be out of town on day of funeral but our thoughts are with y’all.

Carol and I have been friends of Patty and Jerry for many years. We used to be next door neighbors. We remember Patty as being a very quiet but friendly person. She was a great lady and will be missed by all. God bless.
