Paul (Pablo) Enrique Renteria, 47, of Gruver, TX passed away on May 24, 2022.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Hansford Cemetery in Spearman, Texas. Pastor Steve Chappell of Gruver Methodist Church will be officiating the service.

Paul was born on December 20, 1974, at Hansford County Hospital in Spearman, Texas to Jesus and Esmeralda Renteria of Gruver, Texas. Paul was a graduate of Gruver High School and a graduate of Oklahoma Panhandle State University, where he studied Bachelor of Arts. He lived in Amarillo, Texas with a variety of jobs working with foster kids, in customer service, and at Amarillo College. He had a great love for photography with a beautiful eye for artistry and nature. He also loved cooking and painting in his free time.

Paul is survived by his father, Jesus (Jesse) Renteria of Columbus, Nebraska; his brothers, Jesse (Margaret) Renteria Jr of Clovis, New Mexico, and Sammy (Jennifer) Renteria of Columbus, Nebraska; 12 nieces and nephews; and 6 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Esmeralda Nava Renteria, of Gruver, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, an organization dear to Paul, at www.givenow.lls.org.

  1. I am so sorry to hear of Paul’s passing . He was quite a guy with a fantastic sense of humor even with his life being full of pain . He will be missed .I can imagine the meeting of him and Esmeralda .He missed her every day since she left .They are together again! He will be missed.

  2. Paul, you were such a good guy. I’m going to miss talking to you. I was so honored you asked me to stand up with you when you married John. I know how what that meant to you and was glad to do it. It makes me happy to think about you reunited with your momma. I know how much you missed her. I love you friend. God speed.

  5. Paul and I recently connected through Facebook . Esmeralda was my friend and I have known him since he was little. I am saddened by his loss yet I am glad he is no longer in pain. My condolences to Jessie, Jr., and Sammy. Pay he rest in peace
