Paul Roger Tidwell, 66, of Amarillo, TX peacefully passed away on March 12, 2022.

Memorial services for Roger will be on Friday, March 25th, 2022, at 2:00 P.M., in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Amarillo.

Paul Roger Tidwell was born to Paul and Charlene Tidwell on April 19, 1955. Roger was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas. He was a graduate of Palo Duro High School. After graduation, Roger became a glazer. He worked for Royal Glass, Amarillo Glass, and Binswanger Glass. For the last 22 years, Roger was a property manager for Lone Star Show Me properties.

Roger was not a 9-5 guy. He loved his free time. In his free time, Roger collected Hot Wheels, coins, Disney memorabilia, and other entertainment memorabilia. In his younger years, Roger loved to bicycle around Amarillo. In his later years, Roger loved to cruise around Amarillo on his Honda motorcycle. He customized his Honda and won several metric motorcycle awards. Roger also won a custom Harley Davidson while participating in a Toys for Tots motorcycle rally. Roger was generous and willing to help friends and family in need.

Roger was preceded in death by his father, Paul; his mother, Charlene; and his oldest brother, Charles “Smokey” Tidwell.

Roger is survived by his brothers, Anthony Tidwell, and Max (Angela) Tidwell; sisters, Zandra Schooler, Anna Tidwell, Paula (Joe) Morris, Cathy (Kenneth) Ferguson, Stephanie Tidwell, and Shannon Tidwell; and sister-in-law, Frances Tidwell, all of Amarillo, Texas. Roger is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; his aunt, Jane Mintz of Bokchito, Ok; aunt, Gloria Tidwell of Meadow, Tx; and many cousins in Oklahoma and Texas.

My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with Roger and his family, I’ve been thinking of all the memories I have of Roger beginning with him right out of high school and he came to work at Amarillo Plate Glass, we had many laughs together, I am so sorry I won’t physically be at his funeral, I have high risk issues and have been laying low since Covid but I will be thinking of you all and he will be greatly missed, God Bless
