Peggy Ruth Anderson Higgins, 89, of Amarillo, TX died Sunday, September 25, 2022.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Peggy was born August 7, 1933, to Arthur L. and Millie M. (Crawford) Anderson, in Pawhuska, OK. She played the clarinet and was twirler for Borger High School graduating in 1951. She was a secretary and bookkeeper alongside her husband Frank. They loved to travel and loved their church Paramount Terrace Christian Church which later became Hillside Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank G. Higgins; a brother, Paul D. (Buddy) Anderson; and her parents, Arthur L. and Millie M. Anderson.
She is survived by her children, Stacey Youngblood Wright and husband Randy; Larry V. Youngblood and wife Rhonda; Krystyna Higgins Whalin and husband Randall; brothers, Donald L. Anderson and wife Denise, and Sam R. Anderson and wife Kathy; grandchildren, Myles Youngblood and fiancée Lisa Trascher, Kellen Lane and wife Lauren, Chance Youngblood and wife Jennifer, Andrew Robinett, Logan Lane, Madelyn Robinett McCall and husband Michael; great-grandchildren, Hayden Youngblood, Maddox Youngblood, Evie Youngblood, Monroe McCall, Jones McCall, and Beckett Hayes, who is due in November; six nieces and nephews, and nine great-nieces and great-nephews.
Peggy loved her dogs, Berean Circle Group, her hairdresser, Anna Moreno, caregiver, Dora Long, and friend, Juanita.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to BSA Hospice Care of the Southwest, or to ASPCA.
