Phyllis Hoover, 78, of Amarillo, TX, made her journey to heaven on Thursday, October 7th.
Private family services will be held.
She was born on August 11, 1943, to Billie and Phil Mask.
Phyllis married Darrell Hoover on October 25, 1963. Together they raised a son, Mike Hoover, and a daughter, Leslie Hoover.
Phyllis was a fabulous cook and she loved sharing her skills with her family for any occasion or no occasion at all! She had an incredibly green thumb, and her gardens were always gorgeous. She loved her family and her friends unconditionally and would give her opinion without flinching if she thought it would improve any aspect of their life. Her grandchildren called her “Gee” and she treasured all of them. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother, aunt and friend and will be very missed by all.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, Darrell Hoover; a son and his wife, Mike and Kandi Hoover; a daughter, Leslie Hoover; her brother and his wife, Richard and Linda Mask; her grandchildren, Ashley Hoover, Kelsey King, Nick Brace, Kaelyn Brace, Ricky Robinson, Candice Robinson, and Cameron Hoover; and her great-grandchildren, Dakota, Libby, Jackson, Everett, Caiden, Kyah, Elijah, Zoey, Keeleigh, Keenyn, and Marcus; and her much loved nieces and nephews and many very dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to a charity that has touched your life as much as Phyllis touched ours.
