Preston Davis, 94, of Hereford, TX died April 2, 2022.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Memorial Park Cemetery at Vega, TX with Brian Hevrin, pastor, First Baptist Church, Vega, TX officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Preston was born February 17, 1928, in Fort Worth, TX to Willard and Winnie Davis. He worked for more than 49 years at Richardson Seed Co. Preston was a member of the V.F.W. and attended the First Baptist Church in Vega, TX.
He married Lillie Shaw on July 17, 2012, in Vega.
Preston enjoyed farming, working on small engines, and loved to hunt and craft.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Elaine Davis.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie Davis, of Hereford, TX; a son, P.L. Davis and wife Ellen Kay, of Brownwood, TX; two daughters, Coleen McClure and husband Fred, and Peggy Anthony and husband Tim, all of Florida; a stepdaughter, Beverly Hererra and husband Manuel, of Spur, TX; brother, Thomas Davis and wife Katie, of Crosbyton, TX; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and eight nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 6-7 pm, Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd., Amarillo.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations are made to the Vega High School FFA Ag Mechanics.
