Ramon Paul Ontiveros, 29, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on March 26, 2023.

Services will be at 10:00 A.M, Friday, March 31, 2023, at More Church, 5511 Amarillo Blvd W., with Lyndal Waldrip officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Amarillo.

Ramon was born in Amarillo, Texas on October 18, 1993, to Cynthia and Jaime Ontiveros, Sr. On March 22, 2012, Ramon was blessed with his daughter, Naylah Ontiveros. He loved and took pride in being her father. He was a momma’s boy and loved his grandmother, Mary. Ultimately, he deeply loved his family and friends.

Ramon was witty, a jokester, and loved hard. He enjoyed rodeos, watching racehorses, dancing, and fishing. He was also a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandpa, Ramon Lucero; grandpa, Julian Ontiveros; great-grandma, Corina Floyd; grandma, Rosie Ontiveros; nephew, Jaime Ontiveros, III; uncles, Freddie Johnson, Pedro Ontiveros, and Javier Chieto Ontiveros; and cousins, Kaylee Webster, and Jahnessa Ontiveros.

Survivors include his daughter, Naylah Ontiveros; parents, Cynthia and Jaime Ontiveros, Sr., of Amarillo, Texas; brothers, Eric Hinojos, of Amarillo, Texas, Jaime Ontiveros, Jr., of Amarillo, Texas, and Pedro Ontiveros, of San Antonio, Texas; sisters, Laura Ontiveros, of San Antonio, Texas, and Destany Owens and husband Julius, of Amarillo, Texas; grandma, Mary Lucero; many aunts and uncles; one niece; nine nephews; and his hound, Bosco.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 P.M. – 7:00 P.M., Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
