Randal Wesley McNatt, age 69, of Amarillo, TX passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.

“Rand” as everyone affectionately knew him, was a member of the United States Air Force where he expanded on his passion for photography.

After leaving the Air Force, he then moved to Amarillo, TX with his wife and five children. There he worked at Family Photo as a computer programmer and photographer until his retirement.

He enjoyed his retirement working on his many projects on their family home and spending his time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Audrey Juanita and Elmer Joe McNatt.

Rand is survived by his wife, Mary McNatt; daughters, Randi McNatt, Adriene McNatt, and Kc McNatt; sons, Chris McNatt, and Sean McNatt; daughter-in-law, Jennifer McNatt; granddaughter, Holly McNatt; and grandsons, Aiden Ellerd, and Alexander (AJ) McNatt, all of Amarillo, TX. He is also survived by a sister, two sisters-in-law, and a brother-in-law, plus numerous nieces and nephews and one great-niece.

In lieu of a traditional memorial service, the family will be having a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, from 12:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at a private address. Please contact the family for the specific address.

  1. He was a amazing grandpa to us kids and he even did a surprise party for my 13th birthday I miss him dearly he was my best friend he was the best grandpa I could ask for he taught me how to cook he helped me with my room he did anything for us I appreciate him and I miss him soooo much

  2. Rand was a unique, intelligent, and honest man. He loved his family more than anything. Im very glad to have known him. I know he will be missed.

  3. Mary, I am so sorry for your loss. I knew he was sick but didn’t expect it to go so quickly.
    This is the same day my daughter passed. We were both pre occupied.
