Our hearts are extremely heavy as we announce the passing of Randy Ross Miller.

Memorial Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 22, 2023 at The Loft Church 4400 S. Georgia Amarillo TX.

Randy was born May 6, 1962 and took his first breath in heaven on June 12, 2023, surrounded by his family.  Randy was born to James “Rick” and Sandra Miller. Although born In California Randy spent most of his life here in Amarillo. Randy attended school here in Amarillo and graduated from Palo Duro High School. Randy went on to work in the glass business for many years until a career change took him to Bell Helicopter.  Randy went on in life to raise a family and was blessed with four beautiful daughters whom he loved and adored. His girls were his reason for living, being their daddy and growing later in life to their friend was his life’s biggest blessing. Being known as Grandpa was Randy’s favorite title ever. His favorite past times included spending time teaching and passing wisdom on to his grandsons, and making memories with his girls  His grandsons were everything to him, they may have just been the absolute true loves of his life.  Randy loved nature and the mountains, he always knew his true calling was the life of a mountain man. He loved to hike and fish and just spend time taking in and exploring the nature around him. Randy also loved music, all types of music from rock to country to Christian, he really thought a great song could best describe just about anything you were feeling. He loved to wood working, making, redoing and recreating furniture.  Randy was an amazing story teller, he could have a whole room of people captivated from the word go and laughing in tears in a matter of seconds. The bigger the laughs the bigger the story became. Randy has a very special bond with his siblings, spending time giving his brothers a hard time, and helping them with projects was one of his favorite things to do. Randy spent many hours in the evenings having long and heart felt conversations with his only sister, in those conversations they would catch up for the day and make plans to visit and talk about him to taking her fishing.  Randy and his huge heart and huge presence will be greatly missed here on earth but we take comfort in knowing he is in the arms of Jesus. Though gone his legacy will live on in those he leaves behind.

Randy was greeted in heaven by his parents James “Rick” and Sandra Miller, his grandparents Rosemary and Carl Galub, Gladys and Mike Taylor Brother Jimmy Miller, a nephew Scott Gattis and a great niece Leighton Rutledge, a cousin Jerry David Murphey, as well as his beloved furry best friend and true partner in crime Leo.
