Randy Royce Morgan, 72, of Dumas, died on Thursday, January 25, 2024.
No services will be held. Private burial will be at Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sunray, Texas. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas.
Randy was born on May 18, 1951 in Dumas to Royse and Wanda Morgan. He graduated from Sunray High School in 1969. He married Mary Cooper on August 11, 1972 at the Methodist Church in Sunray. He began working at Cut Rate Grocery in Sunray when they were first married. He worked for Continental Carbon Black over 40 years until retirement. He enjoyed snow skiing as a young man and he loved to gamble.
Randy was preceded in death by his father, Royse Morgan; a sister, Brenda Cox and her husband Wayne; and a sister-in-law, Angie Cooper.
He is survived by his wife Mary Morgan of Dumas; his mother, Wanda Morgan of Amarillo; a sister, Cheryl Gay Adkins and husband Robert of Palestine; two very special nephews, Jason Pool and wife Heather of Springdale, Ar., and Josh Pool and wife Laura of Denver, Co.; his mother-in-law, Nellie Ruth Cooper of Dumas; two brothers-in-law, Jeff Cooper and wife Beverly of Wellington, and Cary Cooper and wife Judy of Dumas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
