Randy Zapata, 60, of Amarillo, TX passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Randy was born July 28, 1962, in Amherst, TX to Roel Zapata and Molly Serna. He lived in Amarillo for most of his life.
Randy married Concepcion Briones on December 19, 1983, in Amarillo.
He worked for Affiliated Foods and was a handyman. In his spare time, he enjoyed remodeling and painting.
Survivors include his wife, Concepcion Zapata, of Amarillo, TX; daughters, Mary Ellen Zapata Muro, of Dallas, TX, and Georgina Garcia, of Amarillo, TX; a son, Michael Zapata, of Amarillo, TX; three sisters, Angie Zapata, of Amarillo, TX, and Rebecca Zapata and Rachel Zapata, both of Dalhart, TX; a brother, Troy Zapata, of Dalhart, TX; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
