Raul V. Angel, 81, of Amarillo, TX entered Heaven on January 5, 2021.

Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 8, 2021, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.  Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Raul was born in Comfort, TX to Manuel and Elisa Angel on September 26, 1939.  Raul proudly served in the United States Army and worked at the Pantex Plant for numerous years until his retirement.

Raul always taught his children to work hard and educate themselves.

Survivors include his wife Sylvia Angel; son Raul V. Angel Jr. and wife Yvette; daughters, Elisa Reynoso, and Rachel Gallini and husband Josh; son Mario Angel and wife Mary; grandchildren, Arielle Angel, Rachel Reynoso, Daniel Reynoso, Gina Gallini, Lexi Gallini, Jeremy Angel, and Jeffrey Angel; brothers, Arnold Angel, Manuel Angel, Eliseo Angel, Felix Angel, Ruben Angel Jr., Henry Angel; sisters, Maryann Rodriguez, and Nancy Angel; along with numerous nephews and nieces.

  1. Dad.. I was thinking of you and how much I truly miss hearing your voice and seeing you. I get up in the morning and can hear you say its time to go to work. I will move forward and live my life like you told me but every time I look in the mirror I will always see the man you made me knowing you are watching. Life is tough as you taught us growing up I but face everyday knowing I must push through and that is because of you. I miss you and I love you with all my heart. I will see you again one day

  2. I will always remember Mr. Angel. He was always a very nice man and had a smile on his face. Prayers for the family.

  3. I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Angel. He was just a great person, an example of a hard worker, a wonderful father and a heart of love for his beloved Sylvia. Every time I saw him at Pantex, his smile was infectious but the way he looked at Sylvia, so so sweet. To the family, thank you so much for sharing such a good man with us at Pantex. Mario and Angel Jr. I know you will take care of each other and be there for you Mom because until your Dad retired, he was always side by side with your Mom in the ramps, in the warehouse and waiting until the next time he could see her. Truly precious, a diamond , a true gem.

  5. Mr. Angel was like a second father to me. He always treated me like one of his own sons. He has been a great example of how we should love our families and friends. I will surely miss him. My condolences to his family and friends. May our Lord Jesus comfort and strengthen you through this difficult time. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

    I wish that I could be there with you to say my good bye, but I will hold you in my heart for ever.
    We had a good life with mom and were very happy. I will treasure those moments forever 💕

  8. Condolences, strength and prayers to Sylvia, Raul Jr. and family who I knew growing up as a kid with Raul Jr. when living there. Raul Sr. was a family man and always treated my dad and family with respect and kindness. May he Rest In Peace.
