Rebecca Inez Diggs, of Amarillo, passed away on October 13, 2023.
Rebecca was born in Forest, MS to Robert and Florence Smith. She grew up in Morton, MS. She received an associate degree from Amarillo College and volunteered with the SPCA. Rebecca enjoyed working as a secretary for the majority of her professional life. She loved the Lord with all her heart and had a wonderful relationship with Him.
Rebecca loved and cherished Fran Turlington, her dear friend, who took care of her in her final years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Diggs and grandson, Johnathan Hipskind.
She leaves behind her daughter, Edith Gayle Barclay; grandson, Josh Hipskind and wife, Loren Hipskind; granddaughter, Samantha Allen; and great-grandchildren, Morgan Lynch, Kaleb Hipskind, and Paige Hipskind.
The family will be having a memorial at a future date.

Josh, Gayle, Loren, et al, I’m so sorry for your loss and the loss to so many who loved Becky. I’m certain she, John & Johnathan are reunited.

Such a sweet lady, a true pleasure meeting her. Always a joy to see at church. Truly blessed to have had someone so precious taking care of her. My heart goes out to everyone who knew her. Thoughts and prayers to her family and loved one.
