Richard David Readnour, 71, of Amarillo, TX died Saturday, August 27, 2022.

 

Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 2, 2022, at Boxwell Brothers

Ivy Chapel with Kurt Oheim, Pinnacle Community Church, officiating.  Military rites are provided by Volleys for Veterans.  Burial will be at Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

 

David was born Richard David Readnour on April 10, 1951, in Weatherford, Oklahoma.

 

David graduated from Palo Duro High School. He served as a Marine Corp Sergeant in the Vietnam War. He retired from BNSF where he worked as a railroad engineer for many years.

 

David was an avid and accomplished fisherman. He loved nothing more than being out on the lake fishing and yearly tournament fishing with long-time friends and family.

 

He was preceded in death by his mother and dad, Betty Jo and Bob Francis, a brother, John Readnour, a daughter, Terri Readnour, a son, Robert Readnour, and a grandson, Corey Washington, and his beloved four-legged buddy, Skipper.

 

David is survived by his wife, Becky, a brother, Robert Francis and wife Pat, his children Kellie, Heather, Jeremy and wife Nikki, and Joshua; his grandchildren Bayley, Kanton, Zaybriel, Benjamin and wife Sydney, Nicholas, Samuel, Madison, and Karalee; his great-grandchildren Avia, Easton, and Mac; his nieces Stacy and Misty, great niece Zoe, and his great nephew Ethan.

 

Gone fishin’!

 

Family visitation will be from 6-7 PM, Thursday, September 1, 2022, at the funeral home.

  1. Richard and I will miss seeing you everyday where we had many short talks and sometimes just a smile and a wave. Rest In Peace friend and enjoy the fishing!!
