Richard (Ricky) Lee Taylor

Richard (Ricky) Lee Taylor, 61, of Amarillo Texas, passed away on May 12, 2023

A Memorial gathering with be at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home at 4 PM,  Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors 2800 Paramount Blvd Amarillo, Texas 79109.

Ricky was born in Cincinnati Ohio May 17,1961 to Virginia and Kenneth Taylor, Ricky and his family moved to Clarendon, Texas in 1964 where he was raised. Ricky moved to Amarillo, Texas in 1978 where he was the Top Salesman for all 17 years working for Bob Wolfe at Wolfe Office Equipment, until 1995 when he became disabled. In 2010, he was diagnosed with Liver Cancer and he was given 3 to 6 months to live but he fought Cancer and would not give up until May 12, 2023, he couldn’t fight anymore.

Ricky Loved everyone and never met a stranger, he had many friends including, many Doctors and Nurses.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia Taylor, and Kenneth Taylor; aunt and uncle, Johnny and Mary Middleton of Memphis, Texas.

He is survived by his only brother, Eddie Taylor of Amarillo; aunt and uncle, Harold and Arlene Middleton of Amarillo, Texas, as well as many cousins.

Ricky always told everyone I Love You and he meant it and now he would say, BE HAPPY and enjoy every minute for every day is Precious and can be the last. UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN.
