Richard Troy Meads, 94, of Amarillo, TX passed away on November 30, 2022.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church with Rev. Leah Lawson officiating.
Richard was born in Purcell, CO on March 3, 1928, to Charles and Edith Meads. He married Genia Totten in 1956, they later divorced. Together, they had two daughters, Donna Jean (Meads) who was born on November 21, 1957, and Betty Jean (Meads) Loomis who was born on August 12, 1960. Richard later met Bernice Mondragon, they were together for 30 years.
Survivors include his daughter, Betty Loomis of Amarillo, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Art Gallegos; nephew, Jerry Wonenberg; niece, Barbara Lind; four grandsons, Jeremy Loomis, Randy Rogers, Charlie Aguilar, and Robert Merry; one granddaughter, Jeanette Pope; and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Betty is asking for donations to be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KA 66675.
