Robert Balderas

 

Robert Balderas, 62, of Amarillo, TX passed away on March 30th, 2022.

Rosary will be recited at 5:00 P.M., Sunday, April 3rd, 2022, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Mass will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, April 4th, 2022, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos Balderas Sr. and Eulalia Balderas; and nephew, Carlos Balderas III.

Robert was born on February 17, 1960, in Brownfield, TX to Carlos Balderas Sr. and Eulalia Balderas. He was a loving father, fiancé, brother, and friend. He was a family and church-oriented man who had a contagious sense of humor. He was a meat cutter for 40 years and also enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes, going to bingo, playing slots, and going out dancing.

He is survived by his fiancée, Maggie Padilla-Garza of five years; daughters, Emily Balderas of Oklahoma City, OK, and Savanah Balderas of Amarillo, TX; son, RJ Balderas Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK; ten siblings, Stella and husband Avrelio Perez of Poteet, TX, Anita Coronado of Poteet, TX, Adela and husband Jay Livingston of Littlefield, TX, Sulema Oltivero of Dimmitt, TX, Marie Luisa and husband Marcos Zarote of Anton, TX, Rosalinda Aldape and husband Ruben of Hamlin, TX, Bertha and husband Paul Horn of Amarillo, TX, Genara, Carlos and wife Arlene of Canyon, TX, and Oscar Balderas of Poteet, TX; and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

  2. Prayer’s for the family. Terribly sorry that Andy did not make the funeral, he really wanted to. He will be missed. Andy Reyes has great times hanging out with him( Dallas Cowboys season). God bless the families.
