  1. I met Doug when he was with the Fire Dept also had a upholstery business on canyon freeway. Mike wood was with him also. He let our scout troop 64, store our flags and troop equipment in his building at no cost to us. (we were poor). He was always cheerful and willing to help. Use to see him at Outdoor Sports shows with his boys. He was such a good person to his sons in the upholstery business. Always with a smile, thank you Lord for his presence for a while.

    1. Doug was a great man and Dad, when I was younger, he’s my first cousin, I thought I was in love with him, I told my mom I was going to marry him when I grew up, at that time not realizing, you can’t marry a cousin! I thought the world of him, we haven’t been close for awhile, I live in Oklahoma, so there was quite a distance from Amarillo. I’m blessed he was a Christian, now he will be with his wife, Barbara, his parents, Bob and Grace, and sister, Pam, and my husband, David, prayers are with the family!🙏
