I met Doug when he was with the Fire Dept also had a upholstery business on canyon freeway. Mike wood was with him also. He let our scout troop 64, store our flags and troop equipment in his building at no cost to us. (we were poor). He was always cheerful and willing to help. Use to see him at Outdoor Sports shows with his boys. He was such a good person to his sons in the upholstery business. Always with a smile, thank you Lord for his presence for a while.
Sorry to hear about your loss and he will be missed by all of you. May God be all of your side during this time of grief.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Wood family. Even though I haven’t seen Doug for several years I often thought of him. We always had fun with him and Barbara when together. Many happy memories. God be with you and comfort each of you. 🙏🙏
Fond memories, of this great Christian man and Barbara. Lots of wonderful worship and fellowship, at Southlawn Baptist Church❗🙏 Prayers for the family, he leaves behind❗
My eyes are filled with tears, my heart is filled with sorrow, and I feel for the family, which I love.
The bright spot is that I will join him in a better place.
Doug was a great man and Dad, when I was younger, he’s my first cousin, I thought I was in love with him, I told my mom I was going to marry him when I grew up, at that time not realizing, you can’t marry a cousin! I thought the world of him, we haven’t been close for awhile, I live in Oklahoma, so there was quite a distance from Amarillo. I’m blessed he was a Christian, now he will be with his wife, Barbara, his parents, Bob and Grace, and sister, Pam, and my husband, David, prayers are with the family!🙏
