Rodney John Ramirez, 54, of Amarillo, TX passed on and was received by God on Sunday, June 13, 2021.

His celebration of eternal life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 19, 2021, at the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel in Amarillo, 2800 Paramount Blvd. He will be laid to rest at Llano East Cemetery, Garden of Devotion Mausoleum.

Rodney was born on July 17, 1966, in Milwaukee, WI to Kathleen Antonette and Martin Lee Ramirez.  

Rodney married Cruz Gonzales on September 7, 2016, in Amarillo, TX. 

Rodney worked for Tyson foods as maintenance in Amarillo. He was a member of the Encounter Church. 

Rodney was a man of integrity and loyalty to his family and friends. He was full of love for family and would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Rodney loved to spend time with his family. He was a great man and will be missed by many. 

Survivors include his wife, Cruz Ramirez, of Amarillo, TX; his son, Aaron Ramirez-Duran, of Phoenix, AZ; his daughter, Zandra Ramirez-Hernandez, of Pomona, CA; his four stepdaughters, Blanca Medrano, Melinda Medrano, Angela Medrano, and Aliea Rivas, all of Amarillo, TX; brothers, Mark Ramirez, of Milwaukee, WI, Michael Ramirez, of Waukesha, WI, and Marty Ramirez, of Milwaukee, WI; two sisters, Justine Ramirez, of Phoenix, AZ, and Gina Ramirez, of New Berlin, WI; and fourteen grandchildren.

Viewing will be available from Noon-6:30 P.M., Thursday, June 17, 2021, and Noon-6:30 P.M., Friday, June 18, 2021, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
