met his Savior, Jesus Christ, face-to-face.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillside Christian Church Chapel.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount.

Rodney was born in Brownfield, Texas on April 11, 1948, to T.O. and Katherine Speed Miller.

After graduating from Tascosa High School, he served in the United States Army.  For four decades, he was an independent owner/operator hauling cattle and other goods.  He especially enjoyed the years he was leased to Jack B. Kelly.

Rodney loved everything motorsports related.  He excelled at auto body painting and repair and enjoyed general tinkering in his garage.  On any sunny day, he could be seen cruising around Amarillo on a newly repainted motorcycle.

Rodney married Debbie Payne on June 14, 1996.  He was preceded by his parents and two sisters, Brenda and Glenda Miller of Amarillo. He is survived by his wife; stepchildren, Mark (Angela) Payne of Lewisville, and Karla (Steven) Zuniga of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Grant, Katelyn, Avery, Hannah, and Christian. He was so very proud to be a grandfather.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to BSA Hospice of the Southwest or Hillside Christian Church.
