Ronald “Ronnie” Marion Archer, Jr., 53, of Amarillo, TX, died February 27, 2021.

Services will be at 3:00 PM, Thursday, March 4, 2021, Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Nick Kendall officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. 

Ronnie (Ron) was born June 26, 1967, in Dallas, TX to Ronald, Sr and Sarah Archer. 

Ron was currently employed as a graphic instrumentation designer technician for Taylor Technical contracted by Valero.

Ron owned “Top of Texas Smoke” and participated in multiple cooking competitions. He had a love for Harley’s, traveling, and especially riding with family and friends. 

His other loves were playing pool, riding dirt bikes, going to the lake, and riding in his RZR at the river and sandhills. He was fearless, had a big heart, and loved spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkids. He was loved by all.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Archer, and brother, Donald “Donnie” Archer. 

Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Archer of the home; daughters, Tori Archer of Amarillo, Amanda Tidwell and husband Travis of Canyon, TX, Kylin Davis and husband Taylor of Fairbanks, Alaska; sons, Rhett Archer of Amarillo, Austin Sinclair and wife Cady of Okinawa, Japan; father, Ron and wife Linda Archer of Amarillo; sisters, April Haraden and husband Robert of Amarillo, Leslie Kendall and husband Nick of Lee’s Summit, MO; sister-in-law, Becca Archer of Amarillo; 6 grandchildren, Jaden, Ry’Lynn, Daxton, Newton, Carli Jean, and Teagan; along with many nieces and nephews.

You all know how Ronnie rolled! So wear your preference attire.

  5. Ron was a great guy, truly genuine would do anything to help anybody who needed it. He will be greatly missed by many! Going to miss hanging out by the pool in the summer drinking beer, cooking out with you.. RIP!!

  7. Thoughts and Prayers for Rhonda and the rest of the family. We sure enjoyed the few times we got to spend with Ron at the sand hills. And his BBQ was some of the best. Our Condolences.
