Ronald Wayne Adams, 66, of Amarillo, TX passed away peacefully on May 27, 2020.

Ronald Wayne Adams was born on May 31, 1953 to Bill Shine and Wilma Adams in Roswell, New Mexico. Ron was raised in Roswell and graduated from Roswell High School in 1971. It was during this time that he was active in the local rodeo community where he did calf roping. He married the love of his life, Pamala Xan Stuart in 1973 and they built a life and family together in Roswell, NM then later in Amarillo, TX. Ron worked in sales, coached baseball at Lions Hondo in Roswell when his children were younger, and he was known as the neighborhood dad by many that grew up around him. Ron has always been strong in his country roots and an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish and spend time with his family and friends. He is remembered well by his strength, kindness, and happiness. He never knew a stranger and was always willing to help someone. Ron was able to spend the better part of his last years living in the wild mountains of southern New Mexico, doing what he loved most.

Ron is preceded in death by his wife, Pamala, mother and father Shine and Wilma Adams, brother, Bill Adams, Jr., mother and father-in law, William and Cordelia Stuart, granddaughter Pamala Jo, nephew William Thomas Fails and his best friends, Pug Garner, Mike Byrd, Ted Alley.

Ron is survived by his son Joshua Adams and daughter-in law Janice Chrisman of Amarillo, TX, his daughter Shauna Adams and Louie Jimenez of Ruidoso, NM, his grandchildren Emily Fails, Kevin Fails, Justin “Ty” Hanscom, Cutter Adams, Andrew Jimenez and Jadzia Adams, his brother-in law William Stuart of Amarillo, TX, his brother and sister-in law Patricia and William Fails of Colorado Springs, CO and his long-time friend, Carol King of Ruidoso, NM.

Ron passed peacefully on May 26, 2020, 5 days shy of his 67th birthday. He was truly a one of kind country gentleman, one heck of a dancer and a good ‘ol boy. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Due to these currently challenging times for everyone, the family has decided to plan a memorial for a later date.
